What happens in a Crazy Monkey group session?
Every session is a mix of playful, skill-based movement, partner exercises, and solo practice. You’ll explore different ways of moving, from soft and controlled to explosive and unpredictable. Sessions are structured to build adaptability, strength, mobility and coordination progressively.
Unlike other movement practices, we don't just focus on skills, we focus on how you perceive, adapt and respond. This isn't about mastering set techniques; it's about how to move in any situation.

The Crazy Monkey Practice is accessible to everybody who is curious and likes to move. You don’t have to be an athlete already to join our classes. Whatever level you are at; just start moving.
We see stepping out of the comfort zone as a prerequisite for development. The core of our movement practice lies in trying. You only learn by trying. We believe that repeating familiar exercises yields a one-sided result. That’s why we combine focus and self-analysis with variation and playfulness. Crazy Monkey classes are never dull. In this way, we see participants not only connecting better with themselves but also with each other and their surroundings.

We host special sessions and classes that extend and deepen our regular program. Our Breathwork sessions are open to everyone, offering a unique opportunity to explore this transformative practice. For members, we also offer extra classes such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training and Non-Violent Communication classes. These are designed as in-depth extensions of the Crazy Monkey experience.

Your tour guides.
Crazy Monkey was founded by Thomas Tukker, whose vision brought a unique and pioneering approach to movement practice to Europe. Michael Holleman joined soon after, adding his flavour and energy to the growing community. Together, they laid the foundation for a practice that continues to evolve and inspire. While Thomas now works from Portugal, Michael and Esmee lead the practice in Amsterdam, carrying forward the same commitment to exploration and excellence. This is a practice built on years of discovery, ready to welcome you.
